DIN 1.3247/HS2-9-1-8 is a cobalt high speed steel which has excellent cutting performance, good toughness and superior wear resistance after heat treatment . It will achieve a high heat treated hardness of 68 to 70 Rockwell C. DIN1.M42 is a molybdenum series high-speed steel alloy with an additional 8 or 10 percent cobalt. It is widely used in metal manufacturing industries because of its superior red hardness as compared to more conventional high-speed steels.

JIS SKH51 Tool Steel is Chrome, Molybdenum Alloy high speed steel. Normal use in cutting tool steel, die tool. 94 percent. Maximum percentage of Vanadium (V) is 2.1 percent and minimum is 1.70 percent. Minimum percentage of Chromium (Cr) is 3.8 percent and maximum percentage of Chromium is 4.50 percent. Maximum percentage of Silicon (Si) is 0.45 percent.
